I'm looking forward to washing and drying the first load. Loads #2 through #10000000, probably not so much.
Note these units are not as deep as most units. The hope is we can put sliding doors on the utility room to match the other closets in the house.
Th folding door you see on the right side of the picture -- see it? -- is the most nasty-looking part of the entire house. Which should tell you how far the house has come in just one year, because if you had seen the house one year ago that folding door would have been about item 800 on the list of things needing fixing/replacing.

Those are really nice. That door is a tricky situation. I suppose you could put in double bi-fold doors, but they would stick out into the hall when open. The accordion is probably the most practical solution, but not the best looking for sure.
Wow! Looks great to me; the only other type of door that would work would be a garage type door, and it would be very expensive, probably about $800 for a white or stainless roll up model. Think of your door as neuvo-retro and learn to love it, the price is right :-)

Wow the washer/dryers look great.
At a hotel we saw a sliding tract that was mounted on the outside and the door slid over to cover the bathroom. But it was a really contemporary design.

I would't put doors. I would leave it open...and put in some nice shelves/cabinets around the machines.
